Nostalgia captivates students

One resource in particular has been back by popular demand. Over the last few weeks during break time Wonderland year 6 at St Peter's Primary School have enjoyed creating. Many of them haven't used Kinetic Sand for a little while.

The simple set up required for these break-time sessions has been refreshing for the team as we arrive, unpack and then watch the students engage right away.

Here are just a few of the creations that have been formed by the students over the sessions.

Conversations along the way have enabled the team to learn names of students, have conversations about the creation or strike up a conversation about something else entirely.

One week we focused the top tips for building.

They said;

- a steady base

- patience

- a plan

- sand

- it's better to build with friends

As we open up discussion about top tips for building we weave in thoughts about what it means to build good wellbeing into our worlds. Slowly over a period of weeks brick by brick we build tools and strategies to consider - How do we live life to the full.

Bricks as we team we are challenged to build into our own lives.

Peace and Joy this advent time,

Charlotte
