Schools out but we've been IN!

This term has been a fantastic opportunity to support local schools and young people by assessing their needs creatively.

Weekly sessions with Year 7 at the Reach Free School began in September. This was a great opportunity to build connections from primary school and help students navigate the new environment. I visited each form for three weeks, gaining insights into student adjustment and offering support to form tutors.

A memorable moment was recognizing a student from a primary school visit last year. She had recently transferred and was grateful to see a familiar face, which helped her settle in.

We introduced a new event, The Inset Reset. With support from The Reach Free School and St Andrews Church, We opened the Hillside youth club for Reach pupils on their inset day back in November!

Another highlight was when a regular Donut Club, Year 7 only weekly drop in, attendee invited two school friends to the club. They had a wonderful time, and she proudly shared the venue with her new friends who they'd not met before going to the reach from a different primary school.

The team on the day offered a wonderful spread of food which those that attended really enjoyed! They played games, chatted and it was great to offer them a space outside school having met them in school during our lunchtime support we have been offering.

There will be more Inset Resets in the new term and we are so looking forward to offering this space for more students as the year goes on!

Look out for up to date events on the Whats on for You(th) Page)

Thanks to all the team who have made these events possible, especially to the Trustees who serve in so many ways behind the scenes!

Blessings and Joy,

Charlotte
